Mentally drained by Thursday
You'll reach a point that you feel like you're doing too much but feel like you're also not doing enough.
You'll reach a point that you feel like you're doing too much but feel like you're also not doing enough.
It happens to all of us entrepreneurs. It just does.
No matter how organized and how planned your day/week/month is, you’ll hit a certain point that you’ll start to feel like this.
It’s just Thursday, and I feel dead tired. Shit happened and all my plans came crashing down. I’m losing it and it’s just the beginning of Thursday.
Good thing this has happened to me before and I’m able to identify and be honest with myself. That has helped me adapt and get over this kind of stretch over the years. It gets easier as you learn how to work around this kind of stress.
I can’t really tell you what to do but I can share my own tips on what I do when I start feeling like this.
I have to identify it first and realize the situation early (because if I don’t, my default setting is that I end up in a mad dash to finish tasks that I know will be put on hold)
Just stop and reassess on what I actually need to do NOW.
Find out what I must do next and what I can sacrifice for the mean time. Just an hour will do to finish rescheduling.
Find out what you can deligate during this time.
Trust me, it won’t kill you.
New tasks won’t ever end coming your way. It’s just the way it is.
Work on what’s important now.
In a way, this kind of “event” actually helps you re-focus on what’s important. You might be drowning yourself with tasks just to keep yourself busy, anyway.
Drop me a DM and say Hi. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
