Keep Your SaaS Users Up To Date
Keeping your users up to date with the latest developments are crucial to your growth
I know, it’s a difficult balance.
You’re working with the team to make new features, plan future roadmaps, do integrations, planning for that up and coming competitor.
There are a lot of things you and your team should be doing compared to a simple 50 word update that to tell your users about your new developments and enhancements.
BUT you know what, that simple 50 word update might change a user’s mind from quitting your SaaS. Maybe later today a user would meet a friend and rave about your new stuff and get you 10 new clients. Maybe a newsletter you sent 3 months ago reactivates a user that finally checks his email.
It’s a simple thing, just come up with a process and give it a bit of time to work on it. Treat it like it’s really important, like with everything you do.
Here are some ideas you can try 1 at a time and eventually blast to all of them:
Create a notifications area
Create a what’s new area. We use a tool called Beamer (
Create a Facebook Group for your community
Use social media to talk about your new updates
Send out a monthly newsletter
Create a blog post for those critical new updates
There are plenty more but just pick one and don’t forget about updating it. It’s going to also add to the experience of the user. Trust me. I’m a user of other SaaS as well and I’ve stuck around with those that keep me in the loop.
